It was overall average concert but RTP was really really tops even though Kalyani ragam was always missing the mark
She has a great voice reminding of Sudha Raghunathan in many places
But during her singing there's no clarity in words which is something I was unhappy with
Usually her concerts are much better and even pronunciation is good but today something was wrong with this aspect

Just 2 streets away Sowmya gave a 90 mins concert. Announced that she throat discomfort and so a curtailed program subsequent to some award ceremony. In company of RanjaniRamakrishnan, NeyveliNarayanan & VSreejith.

I just heard one concert of hers this season, didn't attend this one. I'll have to say she is a pretty ordinary artiste. Her music lacks depth, no clarity of words, bhava is missing. In spite of these shortcomings she still manages to sing in various organisations...
She needs to stop imitating Sudha, Stop thinking of Vivadi ragas and focus on the fundamentals/core of carnatic music, more depth and pronunciation.
