Arabhi sketch tsAlakallalAdu konna ns@ilalO-some-phrase where the some-phrase was completely unintelligible, swarams just grand
dhanyAsi dalachinavAru s@pallavi. A spectacular kArvai for the ending at suraripu that was well accentuated by percussion. The tALavAdyakarAs are amazing. TMKesque keezhkAla swarams. And wrapped intelligently with just keezhkAla swarams.
srI bhArgavi bhadram mE dishathu. Wish:keezhkAla swarams at madhyamakAla sAhityam. Yet to be fulfilled

bEgadA, just noticed that the essay doesn't seem to linger or rest any swaram. Constantly moving phrases predominantly - doesn't this have one or two temporary landing (nyAsa) swaram? Not a fav rAgam and I dread nAdOpAsanA. Dread realized. Sigh. In my books thyAgarAjAya namastE and kadaikkan vaithennai are far better krithis. ns@tantri laya swara rAga building to a predictable crescendo
tani with kanakkus galore

pUrvikalyANi rAgam, vies for quite the shortest r in RTP to date, tAnam in pk, atAnA (balE balE), kAnadA, bahudAri tisra triputai pallavi ‘madhurApuri nilayE mani valayE’ (announced that laghu in tisranadai drutam in catusranadai, 2 kaLai) crispy swarams in the same rAgams as tAnam to round up the pallavi.
Is it not possible to do nereval with sustained kArvai madhurA or nilayE. He sang it like nilayE aE aE aE madhurA A A A
pAsuram (vAdinEn vAdi varundhinEn) in sahAnA, varALi, mOhanam, hamIrkalyANi followed by what else but nAchchiyArs thiruplAvai of the day

A friend told me that it was a great vintage TMK-esque concert.
