A very engaging concert from the team. The alapanas and swaram were shared by Srutisagar and Kartikeyan. Both the instruments gelled very well and there was very good coordination between all the artistes on stage- more specifically Sruti sagar and Kartikeyan. They complemented well and gave space for the other vidwan to explore and excel. The opening alapana of Bhairavi itself for about five minutes was a pointer to the grand fare to follow. During the alapana of Hindolam, the srutibhedam to Mohanam and Madhyamavathy was interesting. The koraippu in Hindolam had much vyavaharam in it.

K.J.Dileep was equally impressive with his alapanas and returns. The two Mridangams , although a tad loud- it was okay for the instruments. However, I felt one tavil and one Mridangam would be better. The thani was much appreciated by the discerning audience.
An excellent concert for two hours.
