Post by laya2 »

Hi,

I have the translation for the song Shiva kama Sundari by Gopalakrishan Bharthi.

But I am looking for the literal meaning of the song for the Anupallavi. Can somebody please explain.

thank you.

Ragam Jagan Mohini
Tala Roopakam

Pallavi

Shiva Kama Sundari

Anupallavi

Bhava sagara karai kaanaamal ,
Pavi yennai edethri viduvadhu,
Un baram amma chonnen,
Medhiniyil enukkarum illai,
Natanam aadum Kanaka sabha nayagan,
Mana magizhndhidum

Charanam

Aadhi para pari, Shankari,
Aanandhi, Jagan mohini,
Vedangalum unadhu mahimai,
Virithida pomo , Padi pirai anindhidum,
Parama krupa Kadakshi,
Yennai sodhikka vendam , Balakrishnan,
Sodhari yennai aadhari.

English translation

Pallavi

Pretty consort of Shiva

Anupallavi

I am telling you that is your burden,
To safely save me as I am,
Struggling without seeing the end of sea of birth.
In this world, I do not have any body,
Oh Goddess who makes happy,
The God who dances in the golden stage.

Charanam

Oh Goddess who is divine, Of Consort of Shiva,
Oh joyful one, Oh beauty of the world,
Are Vedas capable of explaining your greatness,
Oh Goddess with merciful look wearing the crescent,
Please do not test me , Oh sister of Balakrishna but support me.
