Explanation of mudras for these words

Post by laya2 »

Hi

Can somebody tell me what is Nirupama doing in this 1.09 - 1.11

She does something for these words in "natAshubhAshu nAshakaM" for which I think the meaning that I found is (He is quick in removing obstacles, all that is crooked and inauspicious). I found the meaning from here : http://www.tamilbrahmins.com/translatio ... ram-2.html

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bqdXrhTPw8U

Thanks

natASubhASu nASakam
Based on Keerthi's translation, it means:
nata - those that bowdown to him
aSubha - anything that is inauspicious
aSu - quickly
nASakam - one who destroys

i.e., he is the one who quicly/immediately destroys anything that is inauspicous for those that bow down to him. Does this make sense now?

It is exactly as Ravi has written. He quickly removes inauspicious elements. The suchi across the forehead often depicts worries or fate, and can probably be taken here to mean "bad energy."
