Hello,

Could anyone help me out with the aarohana and avarohana of the raagas :

Sindhubhairavi

Bhageshri

followed in Carnatic music.

I seem to be having 4 different aarohanas and avarohanas for each of the raagas from different sources.

So could anyone help me with the exact one used in Carnatic music?

Thank you.

Regards,

Nandy.

Nandy, these ragas cannot be easily described in terms of arohana and avarohana and that's probably the reason why you have found so many different versions. Many ragas are phrase based.

Carnatic Sindhubhairavi is the Hindustani Bhairavi. See http://sawf.org/newedit/edit05132002/musicarts.asp

Carnatic and Hindustani Bhageshri are the same. See http://sawf.org/newedit/edit12022002/musicarts.asp
