Thanks for this information. I never heard of Vinayaki, the female form of Vinayaka. Surprised to hear that she is worshipped in Tamil Nadu as a form of Shakthi. Everyday, I learn something new.

This is not surprising. Refer MD's kriti wherein he describes Ganesha as " naariiyonimukha " - one who's facial countenance is like that of the female genital . For a Shrividya upasaka, Ganesha is feminine, being the direct avatar of the Adiparashakti.
