Without any implied criticism of the chosen artist, though, wouldn't it have been nice to follow the release with a concert by Manakkal S Rangarajan?

It's possible that at his age, giving a concert may put quite a strain on him. Otherwise, a mini conert by him would have been nice.

In fact, I was wondering the same after posting... Was it only last season I saw him sing, at German Hall, or was it the year before?

Hoping, of course, that he is still fit and singing.
