Her dancing is becoming more and more human, with all sacredness and divinity stripped off it.

what exactly do you mean by "becoming more and more human".It is depressing to note that one is not able to truly enjoy perfection at its best

Reminds me of the latter half of Poe's Israfel .
Ours is a cruel imperfect world indeed. :P
The full poem here .http://classiclit.about.com/library/bl- ... srafel.htm

Quote

.......
The ecstasies above
With thy burning measures suit-
Thy grief, thy joy, thy hate, thy love,
With the fervor of thy lute-
Well may the stars be mute!

Yes, Heaven is thine; but this
Is a world of sweets and sours;
Our flowers are merely–flowers,
And the shadow of thy perfect bliss
Is the sunshine of ours.

If I could dwell
Where Israfel
Hath dwelt, and he where I,
He might not sing so wildly well
A mortal melody,
While a bolder note than this might swell
From my lyre within the sky.

THE END

You may see "perfection at its best" even in Shahrukh Khan's dancing. For me, Lord Nataraja alone is "perfection at its best".

Valli and all others who mainly perform in the West have had to water down and westernize their items in order to make them appreciated by an average New York butcher. Comparing the western poetry (in motion or otherwise) with the chants of Sama Veda is like comparing an ATM with Kubera.
