The veena artist is Kamala Thiagarajan. More about her at http://www.sunaadaradio.com/kamala-thiagarajan/. The recordings were shared by her husband Sri R Thiagarajan who is 92 years old. He listens to Sunaada in his old age home with a few friends. By the grace of God, Indian classical music has reached the even the nonagenarians through Sunaada radio is something which has given me and my team immense satisfaction.

And you remember Akellaji's lec-dem. Hope we have more meetings like that.

Yes, I did hear the announcement and a short bio of Kamala Thyagarajan (by your better half?) at the end of the concert.
Interesting to note that she was a student of NAmakkal SeshaiyyangAr (VVSadagopan's guru).
Very nice of KT's husband to share her music with rasikAs. We cannot underestimate efforts such as yours in CM. Little drops of water do make a mighty occean. Who would have thought that folks like Sri Tyagarajan listes to your broadcasts? He went one step further (at his age too) and contributed his wife's music as well.
