Swathi Soft Solutions , has produced and released a CD titled "PRAMAANAM", a collection of select songs sung by Sangita Kalanidhi Smt. R.Vedavalli. This CD will be released in a function , the details of which is as given below.

The First copy of the CD will be received by Padma Vibhushan, Sangita Kalanidhi, Dr.Umayalpuram K Sivaraman.

Vidwan T M Krishna to participate and speak.

This function will be preceeded by a rendition of a couple of songs from the CD by three disciples of Smt.R.Vedavalli.

Thanks for posting these links. This CD seemed eminently worthy of purchase based on the contents alone but the reviews further convinced me. Smt Vedavalli is, of course, a classicist of the highest caliber and shedding light on how our music is evolving in contemporary times (not just how it has evolved since antiquity) is yeoman service -- something all CM purists should pay attention to.

I have bought the CD only today. This is a must-listen-to CD, I must say! Any CM rasika should listen to this CD to gain such a lot of knowledge! I will definitely post a short article in the 'Album Reviews' after listening to it.
