My family attended this Arangetram and was very impressed by Joshua! He is a very mature dancer and has great Bhava and his technique is fantastic! Kudos to this hardworking young man- winner of 2009 Cleveland BharatNatyam competition, his dedicated teacher and the brilliant Live Orchestra (including his Teacher)! Kept us engrossed and entertained the whole hour as he performed all those energetic items without showing a trace of fatigue!
Hearty Congrats to Joshua and his teacher Poonam Saswade
! Here's wishing them many more scintillating performances and much success on (dance) stage!
Hearty Congrats to Joshua and his teacher Poonam Saswade

Thank you Shankarji, KSL and Cheerful,
It was a memorable experience. Joshua did very well and the audience was great. I was thrilled for Joshua and was humbled to see Joshua receive a standing ovation at the end of the performance at Cleveland Aradhana.
We had one hour so we could present 5 items.
We began with
-Pushpanjali in ragam Sarsawathi
-Followed by a mini Vernam (I converted a Kirthnam 'Ne urraipai" in Ragmalika into mini -Varnam )
-Tandav in ragam Shankara
-Padam (Purdaradas kirti 'Govinda ninna namave chanda')
-and concluded with Thillana in ragam Paras followed by Mangalam.
Tandav was originally composed by prof. Chandrashekharji's and rest all the dances were composed by me.
I want to sincerely thank the Rasika's who were present for the event and encouraged and blessed us.
I will upload some clips once the video is available and update the post
Sincerely
Poonam
