Mahesh Iyer got his initial training under Vidwan Easwara Varma of the Swathi Thirunal Music Academy in Trivandrum. He is currently very active in teaching and performing all over USA and India.
Sreenivas Ponnappan commenced his Mridangam training at the age of seven under his guru Sri Chandrasekharan, a senior most Vocal & Mridangam lecturer at Kalai Kaviri College of Fine Arts in Trichy. Sreenivas has now over 20 years of skillful accompaniment with various senior artistes in India and in the U.S on Mridangam and a variety of other percussion instruments including Kanjira and GhatamFree Admission.
