Sri Kalynaraman came up with a concept of dvi-madhyama rAgas - i.e. instead of panchama, the rAgas pratimadhyama.

He called the each of them with the Sri suffix ;

kanakasri -> kanakAngi, with pratimadhyama instead of panchana - S R1 G1 M1 M2 D1 N1 S

ratnasri -> ratnangi with pratimadhyama instead of panchama - S R1 G1 M1 M1 D1 N2 S

So, chalaSri should be 36th mELa chalanATa, with dvi madhyama - S R3 G3 M1 M2 D3 N3 S

dear ramakriya,

I am afraid you have added Panchama to all your phrases.

Smt Anuradha Sriram makes a mention of a composition of Vidwan Thanjaur Sri SKR's in the same video :)

I think it is of these ragas that Vidwan Sri S R Janakiraman made a mention of in a lecture-demonstration-concert of his I attended.
