Thanks a lot Smt Jayakamala - these are rare gems. Some of the jathis in the varnam were characteristic of the Dhandayudapani Pillai style!
Would you be able to share a recording of your father rendering Lalgudi's Nilambari varnam?

Thanks. Sorry to say this, but unless the dancer was greatly gifted, the few times I have heard him in person, I have listened to him with closed eyes! So beautiful was his singing...

Thank you all. sorry i am unable to visit this forum very often,though i would like to. Nilambari Varnam is definitely there in some of the cassette. I would upload it Mr. Mohan, because that is my favourite too.
