Need carnatic teacher in PUNE

Hi i am interested in learning carnatic music , can anybody help me in finding the one teacher for carnatic music in pune. I want to use my saturday and sunday for great purpose.

Jayachandra if you're starting off, Pune is THE place to learn Hindustani. Anyway, I am sure you can find someone who teaches CArnatic as well...althogh I am unable to help you there.

There is one Mrs Rama Parthasarathy who teaches in Bopodi area. Unfortunately, I do not have the contact # or e-mail.

Best way to get a teacher in Pune is to go to a concert (There is a south indian music sabha) and ask people around. Also, you could go to the famous music instruments store in Budhwarpet, ( I have forgotten the name of that place, again) and check with them. They may be able to point to a few teachers as well.

hello, i am a new member to this forum.I am relocating to Punr by May 2010 and i was surfing to find leads for carnatic music teachers for my daughters who will then be 9yrs and 5 yrs.
I was extremely happy to find some teachers name mentioned here. If anybody is already taking lessons from any of the above mentioned Gurus or any other Gurus, please kindly share the information.
