Is there any doubt that MLV can mean something else other than the great artist MLvasanthakumari in this forum!

moeson, I want to add the general note that seeking or sharing of commerical songs are not allowed.

Let us see how the thread develops... If needed, we will move it to the Light music forum

Dear Moeson: I am interested in two film Tamil songs-one by K.R.Ramaswamy in Velaikkari-- Needan Allamal Thunaiya Matha Pithavum Neeye(this is in Gowrimanohari which in the forties(to the best of my knowledge was not used in Tamil Films(including the songs that Sivan composed for the various movies that he composed for) . I cannot seem to locate in any music stores in Chennai.
Also GNB has sung a piece in Udayanan(Vasavadatta) starring Vasundhara devi(mother of Vyjayanthimala) --the piece is in Panthuvarali--Senthiruvanayal vasavadattai,Thigattada Thenmozhiya Vasavadattai --chaste Panthuvarali sung elegantly by GNB-- have not found this item either in any of the music stores.

Last a piece sung by Tiruchi Ulaganathan(of Varaai Nee Varaai fame) in the Raga Lathangi-Pudumaiyai
Enna Solven, Thanga Padumaye Nee Ennai Thazhuviadal Nigazhnda--I forget in which film.

Any vibes!! Thanks Moeson

Chandrababu, the ace comedian has sung several excellent songs, the philosophical one being 'pirakkum podhe azhuginran'.C hittoor ,v.Nagiah , HONNAPPA(PROBABLY PONNAPPA IN tamil) bhagavathar has sung in tamil films. It used to be humorously stated that if you use ha instead of pa,you get kannada words !!!. no disrespect to the language gobilalitha

GBL,
It is not a joke. Works with many words. Add an u to the end with some:
pagal=hagalu; pAl=hAlu; pADu=hADu; pal=hallu; palli=halli; pATTu=hADu

dear M.K ji

Leave those GNB songs. Discs of these GNB songs were not cut. If you can unearth the movie, probably you can listen to those wonderful renditions.

For Eliza
the rain in spain stayed mainly in the plain!
For me at Canada it appears
the rain is staying mainly at my house!
the Sun appears to be running away!
I have invoked MD's 'salilam stambhaya stambhaya' but doesn't work :)
(perhaps offended by my impious comments SR has sent his tantrik 'Eval' at us :)

Still raining! I tried the Indian (Ameican) invocation
"rain! rain! ran away!!" but does not seem to help :)
Perhaps SR can help you guys :)

Nor does the 'rain rain go away! Don't come on mother's washing day!' work anymore. The rain knows that we have the washer and dryer indoors :)
The sun is shining here today, for a change.

Please help me with the lyrics and audio for the harikatha style song in 'engal thangam', where MGR tells the story of Indians quest to the moon.
