What are some of the famous songs composed on the moon?

It is my pick of a song too. So too 'E rAt bhIgi bhIgi'. Though there is a big gap of time between my teen years (when it was a nayA song!) and yours (vintage for you), how sweet it sounded and still does!

There is this Annamacharya's song "Chandamama ravo Jabilli ravo" Yashoda singing for her little Krishna. A beautiful song but I never heard it sung by anyone. But there is another song in Telugu (a lulluby) on similar lines "Chandamama rave Jabilli rave" which almost every mother would sing for her tiny tot.

I was looking for Carnatic kritis on the moon really...but hindi songs would do well, I guess

Pink Floyd's 'Dark Side of the Moon' is a classic song from the rock music genre.

I happened to see the Avvaiyar movie today. And in that tehre is song on Nila...
I guess written by Kalki.

Forgot the raga , there are so many songs/ragas in that movie, not at all boring.
I think a classic is a classic is a classic. And KPS is 100% fit for that role.

I tried for the song in all the known hindi songs websites unsuccessfully. finally I requested www.hummaa.com and got it . gobilalitha

The wrong posting was not about 'haye chanda gaye pardes . what I meant was not a song On the moon.. Ha ye chanda gaye was VERY MUCH ON THE MOON by Lata at the beginning of her brilliant career. I Was thinking of another very old favourite song byLata 'sanware soorat man bayire piya' ,which Iam not able to get . I do not remember the name of the picture, the second line of it will be very melodious , I think Ravi,cooljior ragam-talam can help. GOBILALITHA
