Honour of a rare kind

While people have been doing all kinds of things to honour artists. I found this photo in a friend's album on orkut.

A street in Madipakkam has been named after a living legend who lives on that street. It is none other than Sangeetha Kalanidhi Dr. T K Murthy himself.

a very nice and innovative thing. usually, people do this only after the person leaves for the other world, but in this case, it is truly a deserving honour and done at the right time.

I felt very happy seeing this and hence wished to share it with everybody.

Great news indeed. Long live the legend.

Fortunately Dr.T.K.Murthy and Shri.Lalgudi and Shri.Raghu are only the actual names. Otherwise they would have faced a similar situations like Ranghachari road becoming Ranga road, MSI road becoming MS road etc.,

They could not tamper with Dr.Nair road in T nagar as Dr.road. I think that south Boag road in T nagar was renamed as chevalier SIVAJI GANESAN road , while he was alive. Already we have strayed from the specific subject . Let us think of other living musicians who have been honored like Sri T K Murthy gobilalitha

I am reminded of streets like Reddy Rayan Street and Chetty Street. which were given names like Onnavadhu theru (first street) and rendavadhu theru (second street)
