Mangalam
A very nice concert for 3 1/2 hours. The Hall was full. All expert Rasikas sat till the end. Violin as usual closely followed associating with vidwan in every song. This time the performance in a different location as usual. Miruthangam and Ghatam showed their skill in every krithi and Thani was excellent. A Rasika behind me followed the vocalist excepting swara singing, in humming like a violinist. Bharath Sundar is expert in Niraval and has very good breath control like a Nadaswara vidwan. Dwajavanthi thillana is his own creation and this was revealed by Sayee Rakshith the best violinist.
This program also in a a different Hall. Very huge theater with all comforts. A very good evening entertainment for the entire Rasikas and me. Further review from experts is quite welcome.

aada pOgONa bArO rangA - Durga - Sripadarajaru
These 4 young artists are certainly great torch bearers of presenting great CM concerts. I have heard once Bharath singing a mohanam thillana of his own, some time back at least 2016 to 2020 time frame in a sabha that has the opposite of sound setup in egmore , he showed his class as a vaggeyakkara there. I have not heard a dwijavanthi thillana of his yet , hopefully will soon .
Thank you for the review thanjavooran. I am assuming you had missed mentioning the ragamaliga swaras of RTP . If you do have them please post those. SIFA rocks with 3 and half hours, bless the organisers and the artists.

Very True. Bharat Sundar is a class apart, Nice review. I think all the artists flew abroad to beat the heat in ch.
By the way, who is Sripadaraju ? Any lineage to Dasar !

Bharath Sundar indeed seems to be one among the younger musicians who are keen on expanding their musical horizon.
Thanks Rajesh. This indeed is a very detailed biography of the Dasa. That he composed in tamizh and telugu too, is surprising. Sanskrit, yes, that is true of many regional aDiyArgaL (devotees) in the earlier times, but this is something new to hear, his coming from older times--well ahead of T, MD and SS.
