Best songs A-Z?

One of the bloggers I follow has been posting his view of best movies starting from A to Z. I thought it may be fun to do so for CM songs (although I know, Z isn't going happen with cm

).

Would this be of any interest? I am think so but not sure. Anyway, assuming people are interested, I am not sure though how to do it. Some thoughts:
1. Standard transliteration scheme but grouped by English letter. For vowels, a,A etc. are all part of same letter. Similarly k, kh are one. I am not yet sure about s/S/sh - same or separate?
2. One separate thread per letter? This way we dont have to decide when to move to the next letter. We can discuss multiple songs/letters
3. One song per poster (just as a throttle). I know this is very hard, but this may make it more fun. Maybe we can say one song per post.

There is no need to determine winner etc. Just a way to share your favorite songs and maybe your reasons as to why.

Arun, If your favorite song is say Nattakurunji varnam do we list it under C for Chalamela or N for Nattakurunji.

Under C. BTW, instead of thinking "what is my favorite song period", for this we need to think "among the songs that start with a,A which is my favorite song"

Good idea!
let folks post the name of the song , raga, composer and other details and if possible provide a link to the audio in sangitapriya or MOI. That will be highly educational and entertaining! Do the honour by starting the A series as a separate thread! Let each person list just one song!
We may request the lyrics for the most popular song with Lakshman!

Well, the task is cumbersome. I myself have hundreds of favorites! =)
But, it is possible to do it. Best wishes! I will surely help to develop it!!
