It will be my endeavour to upload the Tamil transliteration of these 14 songs with notation and meaning inTamil at the earliest.

With sacred devotion to Goddess SriGayatri, My father experienced the evolution of these kritis with raga, bhava and tala. He taught me all the songs with the same fervour. His intention was that these songs were propogated in the same fashion. I am fulfilling his desire to the extent possible on my part.

Vimala has done a good job byuploading the songs composed by h h bhakta gnanananda teertha (sri ogirala veera raghava sarma garu) rendered by her.
this is a good contribution from her
on the eve of the birth centinary of the saintcomposer of carnatac music of 20th century which is falling in the year 2007.
i congratulate vimala and her husband sri ramachandrudu in their efforts.
vimala is one among very few persons who can sing with authority who can sing the songs of bhakta gnanananda teertha.

she along with her sister lalita , who are called in those days as ogirala systers gave conerts at madras music academy , rastrapati bhavan,delhi in the presence of late president of india sri s.radhakrishnan and in the august presence of hh sri chandrasekharendra saraswati, the
sankaracharya of kamchi kamakoti peetham when she was very young.

H H Bhakta Gnanananda teertha was blessed with 2 sons and four daughters. he started looking for matches for his daughters. the matches are failing due to dowri problem.
he was very much disturbed. in that situation once the song cheppukomtinamma janani na trippata lella nito in the raga mukhari. this songs reflects the social evil in the society during his life time.
after composing this song ha has successfully completed the marriages of all the four daughters.

by rendering this song / reading this song unmarried daughters will get marrried.

by rendering this song we can solve our financial problems. i am sayin g this from my own experiences during my stay in assam durng 2001 to 2004.

h h bhkta gnanananda teertha installed me as his spiritual successor to the gayatry panchayatana peetham founded by him in the year 1982, 6 years before his maha samadhi in the year 1989. he himself has conducted the peetharohana cerimony and installed me on the holy seat of spiritual knowledge as peethadhipati. he groomed me as his successor from the year 1977 to 1989 till his mahasamadhi.

i got my first official posting in ongc at kolkata in the year 1983.
i am a devotee of sri ramakrishna paramahamsa since my childhood. i uses to have a desire to visit dakshineswar in the name of interview for a job at kolkata. but the paramahamsa blessed me by giving my posting at kolkata where i stayed in his holy presence for 9 years.

before my marriage i uses to visit dakshineswar on weekends regularly and uses to spend my time in meditation there. on sundays bengali devotees uses to sing bengali devotional songs in the house of sarada mata wife of paramahamsa. after few days i have devoloped friendship with them. one day i told them my desire to sing a song of hh bhakta gnanananda teertha for them. on their permission i have sung the song parasiva sudati parvati in the raga purvi kalyani.
they felt very happy for the song but they couldnot understand the meaning. then one devotee requested me to explain the meaning of the song before singing it so that then enjoy the beauty of song much more.
like that with the blesssings of paramahamsas sri ramakrishna and bhakta gnanananda teertha i have translated his songs in srimad deviganasudha into english which i have completed in the year 1988
the book was released by h h bhakta gnanananda teertha during holy navaratry days in the year 1988 october just before his maha samadhi which is our last meeting on this earth.

the song parasiva sudati was composed in the raga purvi kalyani in the year 1983.

till now i have lived on this earth with desires for wife, children,money and fame. due to this i have fully immersed in misery and sorrow.
i am surrendering my self at your holy feet. there is no other way for me except this.

this was the first song i have sung at dakhineswar in praise of mother.

i am singing this song since then regularly in my puja.
the power of this song i have understood in the year 2001 when i was transferred to jorhat , assam from mumbai.

in september 2001 exactly the same days in this month only i was asked to accompany some vips to shillong and gauhati on official tour as officer on special duty. after seeing them off at gauhati airport one of my friend made a proposal for going to kamakhya temple which i never visited in my life. then i agreed the proposal.

i will continue tomorow.

I have posted some information on 20-09-06. afterwards i could not continue as i went to kovvur in andhra gayatry panchayatana peetham, the abode of pamahamsa bhakta gnanananda teertha to worship gayatry and the paramahamsa during 72 nd nasvaratry pujas as peethadhipati.

gayatri will be worshipped with out any desires and with out telling any bodys gotra namas and for the universal peace and for the prosperity of mankind.

in 2001 i have visited kamakhya tem,ple in gauhati, assam. that is my first visit.
i have purchased fruits etc. the temple was very much crowed.
i can not go into a crowed place as i feel sufocation. then i have decided not to go inside. i have given my offerings to somebody else.
i sat down in the temple premises and started singing songs composed by bhakta gnanananda teertha . when i am singing the song one miracle has occured.
when i am singing the charanam the meaning of charanam will become like this

i have entered your premises i am unable to come inside

when i am singing like this the charanam one priest came running , approached me and asked me are you o s ramakrishna . when i said yes he requested me to come along with him to see the mother. then i told him my problem and requested to excuse me for not comming inside.
then he got hold of my hand and started dragging me into the temple. i started running from him out of temple.

after some time he stopped all the devotees till i had the dashan of mother kamakhya. he poured the holy water at the holy place on me which gave a big electric shock like feeling.

i am very much surprised for this . because of the spiritual power in the song the mother her self came out in the form of priest and taken me inside and blessed me.

from 2001 to 2004 i lived in assam in her holy company. she taught me so many spiritual things that are lying in the songs composed by bhakta gnanananda teertha.

she is still telling so many spiritual things in the songs.

i have no words to tell about her kindness.

praise of the presiding deity of chidambaram natarajarajeswari.

if we sing this song regularly the mother show us the way to salvation.

the word deviganasudhakari indicates that gayatri is the presiding deity of the book srimad deviganasudha.

bhakta gnanananda teertha was a saint composer by birth. he has composed songs in praise of different gods when he was a boy. the elderly ladies in his village uses to learn them from him in return they uses to offer him sweets.
they uses to sing those songs during their puja times.
even to day we can find some persons singing those songs in those areas.
i have got one such song in the year 1977 at ongole when i am doing my final year b.sc.

i am studying in my house at that time.in the next portion one lady singing a song while doing her puja. suddenly at the end of song to my surprise i found the signature (mudra ) as raghava.
WHEN i asked her how she got that song she told that was told to her by an elderly in her family.
i hvae noted down the song and shown to bhakta gnanananda teertha during my next visit to kovvur. he was very much surprised after seeing the song. then he told me that he has composed that song when he was a boy of 7,8 years old .

the song is like this

pakshi vaahana muraharana
bharamela nannu brova

meaning is

pallavi; o venugopala come quickly for my recue you are the saviour of devotees.

anupallavi; o devakinamdana come quickly to save me

charanam; ogirala raghava worshipping your holy feet . don't hesitate to save me considering it as a burden.

one more song composed by him during his childhood was mamgalaharati

pallavi :mamgala haarati gonuma amganalamta uppomguchu nosagau mamgala harati
anupallavi ; amgajumata sagarajata madhavi gonuma amganalamta uppomguchu nosagu mamgala harati

charanam : dhara dhenvaadrini velayu
amganalamtauppomguchu nosagu mamgalaharati.

dhenuvadri is the place dhenuvakomda where hehas taken birth near ongole in andhrapradesh inthe year 1908.

i am lucky enough to learn these compositions from him directly.but i could not get sufficient time to ask him about ragas of these songs .

i can sing all the above songs. i will sing atleast one song from these songs during my programmes .

Bhakta gnanananda teerha composed the song bhakti ki samabhagyamu in sama raga. one narada bhaki sutra is in this song.
we can find the essence of bhagavadgita also in this song.
we can see atma nivedana one of the nava vidha bhaktis in this song.

the essence of brahmavidya is in this song.

by singing this song regularly we wll be liberated from the cycle of birth and death .

anupallavi ; o mother ; i know that you will bless your devotees with salvation and food. wih this belief i am worshipping you.

charanam ; o mother ; you will fulfill the desires of your devotees. i am enjoying the sweetness in the compositions of deviganasudha. they will give the knowledge about how to get relief from the cycle of birth and death . the songs in srimad deviganasudha will show the royal route to reach your holy
feet.
