My attempt to give translation based on the help by @rduttarahman with many many thanks.
(with slight changes)
--------
This world of ours is rich with wealth, grains and flowers,
But in between all these,
there is a country which is
the best among all countries,
This country is made of dreams,
surrounded by memories
You will not find such a country anywhere else
This country is the Queen of all countries,
it is my birthland,
My birthland, My birthland!!
-------------
It is in this land, that the Moon, Sun, planets and twinkling stars
shine brightly.
It in this land that lightning streaks flash, through the dark clouds hovering around the skyhigh peaks of mountains.
---
This is the land of cool rivulets flowing through hillock-valleys
This is the land where , as far as the eye can see , there is greenery touching the far horizon and where the paddy crops dance to the gentle breeze in the air.
-
Chirping birds awaken us every morning and put us to sleep every late evening.
-
Flocks of birds fly and sing happily among the blooming flowers of the trees and creepers.
Swarms of buzzing bees get drunk by the nectar of flowers and doze within the flower-petals .
-
Wherever you go, we find affectionate brothers.
Where else can you find such loving mothers, who delight in the children? Oh! Mother! I hold your feet to my heart in adoration.
I wish to be born in this land again and again
==============================================
thamizh
is this tolerably correct translation in thamizh?
perhaps, poets like @Pasupathy , @arasi ,@Pratyaksham Bala , may give versions with better rhyming
--------
1
