Seems to be the season for Thyagaraja Aradhana-s. We had a two day festival here in Sydney with around 60 adult singers rendering krithis on Saturday. Pancharatna krithis and renditions by students (around 100 particapated) on Sunday. Saturday Dinner and Sunday Lunch was provided free to all who attended (mostly catered by volunteers).

Wimbledon Ganesh temple do one (or did when I was last there).

It is not structured, but features professionals/teachers on one day and students on the other.

I think they had to restrict it to vocal students from that temple, as it got a bit too much, but otherwise very much an all-are-welcome event. Used to turn up with my box of morsings; great fun :)

I recommend Rajeswari Satish on the 18th at 4.45....

Rajeswari Satish: Vocal

Dr. Jyotsna Srikanth: Violin

Sri R.N. Prakash: Mridangam

I saw this lady sing twice here in Chennai during December and was most impressed. She is returning to USA in July, as her husband's UK tour of duty is coming to an end. This may be your last chance to see her in London.

Jyotsna and Prakash --- dear friends, musically and personally :)

Yes, I have heard Rajeswari Satish before, and she is quite good.
Btw, her daughter (Shyamala?) sings very well (you could use the 'P' word to describe her), but Rajeswari doesn't hype her up too much, which is a good thing...
