ilangu - seated majestically
puLLik-kalabattu - on the peacock which has a (fanned out) tail with (feathers like) dots

enai kAttaruL - Protect me,
uLLam kOil koNDu - making my heart your abode (such that)
aruL oLi veLLam pAya - the light that is your grace floods it (and)
vevvinai iruL kaLLam ODiDa - the darkness of my torturous Karma and all my deviousness flee
