Demystifying Abhinaya - A workshop by Indira Kadambi

Indira Kadambi, one of India’s foremost exponents of Abhinaya, will be conducting a workshop on Abhinaya from 22nd – 24th July 2011 at the Ambalam Arts & Culture Pvt. Ltd. During the three day workshop, Indira will focus on approach (with reference to analysis, context and the understanding of varied perspectives), techniques and the intricacies of abhinaya. She will incorporate all of these aspects through the teaching of an item.



A renowned performer and a sensitive, innovative and intelligent choreographer, Indira Kadambi, is known for her sprightly style and abhinaya (art of expression). Her natural grace and flexibility, great sense of rhythm, chiseled movements and expressive artful interpretations make Indira’s style unique and fresh. A disciple of Padma Bhushan Kalanidhi Narayanan, she is one of the foremost exponents of Bharatanatyam today.

The timings for the workshop are as follows:
Friday, 22nd July - 6pm to 8pm
Saturday, 23rd July – 4pm to 6pm
Sunday, 24th July - 10am to 12pm
