I have been infrequent in my visits to the sites but saw this when I was casually browsing today.

It is always a very odd and troubling feeling when you lose people whp've been very recent flesh and blood memories. Especially someone so full of life as Shri Ramaraj. I can't claim to have the good fortunte of knowing him as well as some of the others on this forum. However I did meet him quite a few times and have spoken with him several times. While I was aware that his illness was serious, I never really anticipated that things would take such a turn.

It is a lesson to value each moment we spend with our dear ones and be conscious that the slightest flagging of fate's indulgence could stamp them out for ever.

My sincere condolences to family and friends. CM has truly lost a superbly inquisitive mind.

My deepest condolences. I am extremely sad to see this and can't believe that I didn't know until today. I spoke to him a few weeks back and was going to meet him next month.

My response has been quite late though I got the news early enough. Somehow found it very upsetting. Ramaraj uncle had spent a lot of time talking to me and mailing me when my father passed away a couple of years back very suddenly. It was only then that I knew he stayed right opposite our house and ever since I always visited him on my visits back home. He used to get very emotional when talking about my dad and I used to get a little worried sicne he was just recovering from his heart surgery.

Last Dec when i met him he was much better and it was heartening to see the improvement. My mother spoke to him a week before she left for Singapore and he was fine. It was a shock to hear about him. Wherever he is I am sure he is watching over all of us...and his music would continue to live on.

Both my mom and me pass on our condolences to the family.

Very sad news - I had not visited the forum very frequently as I used to in the last week or so, and saw this so late.

Indeed, he will live with us through his compositions.

May his soul rest in peace.

I have been regularly hoping that it might not be too long before I saw him again at one of our functions. Now that is not to be.

I'm away from home; this is my first visit to the site for some days --- and such sad news.

I visited his home just once. I'd really appreciate it if somebody would convey my condolences to his family.

Such a loss to us all.

What a memory, Arasi!

Yes, I think you are right. More sadness in reviving the event in my mind.

He was such a gentle man, and so ready to befriend both raskikas ---and would-be-rasikas lke me.
