I think Cool has (and does) quite enough work in Chennai, without expanding to Bangalore!

Nice pictures; it looks like a really good time was had.

Congrats Jananee for a superb job. It just felt homely and the Kids are just super.
Now GBL should become the President of RasikasOrgMeets and start organizing Global get-together operations!

THANKS .All the 28 songs have come off well, though with some disturbance, especially the bhajan and slokas by Ayush, the four year old child. I do remember the scene, when he suddenly got the inspiration, while playing with Pranav, Diya and other chidren and started to sing in a loud manner to attract the attention of all of us. will remember forever .. once again , thanks to you and venkat gobilalitha

Thanks Jananee!
I am just in the midst of the 'mazhalai mazhai' of my grand son (1.5 years old). I just noticed the flood of sweet CM from Singapore. Will try to listen during the weekend. Maybe late in my comments.
Best wishes to the Singapore Rasikas! Keep up the good work and thanks for including us cyber rasikas.

Just started relishing the lovely Hamir kalyani of Jananee...(my G'Son just perplexed :)
very soothing... More later....

Jananee, thanks so much for the audio. I've been waiting for your Shanmugapriya! Sorry for the sporadic replies but my server has not been connecting to rasikas.org for the last few months.

Thanks very much Jananee for taking the trouble to organize the session as well as digitize and upload the music.
It was a great evening, we should do one soon.
Krishnarasika, Jananee, Bilahari, Kaapi, Pallavi, Das, any thoughts on potential dates?

I just now heard pahi pahi by pranavAND DIYA . how beautifully they call their ISHTA DEIVAM Gajanana, in their childish voice ,especially the pronunciation ,their stress oNPARVATI PUTRA, without any inhibitions about so many elders watching them. wonderful, pleasing. At bangalore , power goes of very often, so I have to hear in instalments gobilalitha

Many thanks to Jananee for the audio upload. Shall do recording / upload for the next round. Would suggest 21 or 22 Jun for the next event (would be out of station from 24 to 29 Jun).

Extremely happy that what was started as an experiment by the enthusiastic Jananee and myself in feb
has taken roots , as evinced by the members ,who want a session almost every month ,But as mentioned by me earlier ,we do not have a list of Singapore based members.,so that all of them may be contacted for the subsequent sessions .THE MEMBERS SHOULD THEMSELVES SHOULD COME FORWARD..For instance, when I sent a report about Prahlad, it was followed by wonderful snaps taken on the occasion and a correction by a member DWIJAWANTHY ,who is requested to contact Jananee by the e mail facilities of our forum . Have a nice day gobilalitha.

I am a new member of this forum. I am also new to Singapore and would like to participate in the next meetup. My email ID is vu3rdd at gmail.com. It looks like the members are having a great time, I would very much be part of excitement and participate. Would someone let me know about the meetups? I will also be watching this space for any announcement.

Thanks for coming forward to inform that you are a new member placed at Singapore. This is what the meeting organisers want..otherwise they are in the dark regarding the members at singapore. thanks for your e mails to me.. yes the place where you live,Novena does not have any veg, hotels.for that matter , they are rare in singapore except Little iNDIA.. i am glad that you have started singing practice.. definitely , you will be a welcome addition to the list of amateur singers .Regarding shifting your residence, it will be worthwhile searching in Clementi or yishun, where you will come across like minded people, if it is near to your place ofwork.. best wishes.see my e mail. balasubramanian (gobilalitha)

Jananee - Today I tried the same in my laptop and its working and I could hear Pranu sing Gajanana. so its not the VIP difficult to hear but its the PC which had Real Player as default. In lap top its media player and it worked. (sorry). Will have to change the default in my pc so that its much faster than the laptop. Waiting for Murs to come.

Hi folks,

Sorry I have not been active at all in this forum. A personal event occurred in our family which prevented me from attending the meetings. My mother, Smt Rukmani Narasimhan, who was a music teacher here in Singapore and my greatest inspiration for taking up music seriously passed away in April after a brief battle with cancer. She was very active in the Singapore music scene would have loved to participate as well, but her health was deteriorating very badly by then.

So yes cml, I was "grounded" for a while! :) Please let me know if there are going to be any further meets, I would like to attend.

Bala,
Missed your posts but did not know of your great loss. Mother and mentor she was! Sympathies to the whole family. Singapore has lost a good teacher of CM too...

Hey Bala..i am really shocked to hear about your mom.I knew her very well. We learned together under Padmavathy Nagarajan. I kind of guessed you were her son and Sudarshan's brother. My heartfelt condolences.I did not know she was ailing or else would have visited her. We truly have lost a very nice person..

I am deeply grieved dear Bala. If she was from Suchindrum it is more than likely that I have met her in her younger days. I know how sad and excruciating it is to lose one's mother to the dreaded Cancer from my own personal experience. May her soul rest in peace. Do get back to CM to get some solace and to preserve her sweet memories.

I myself have been under some pressure lately which is why I am missing the news at the Forum lately.

I am sure the Rasikas in Singapore will bond together to provide consolation to our members during their hours of need as they have done during the moments of Joy.

Singapore is becoming an envy of every carnatic music lover living outside that country. Singapore people of Indian origin are all blessed.
