Having SRMPDPS SDPMGRS as its arohanam and avarohanam ,
Pratapavarali is a janyam of Harikamboji.
Tyagaraja has comopsed VinanAsakoni unnannura in this ragam.
Smt.Shobana Rangachari has sung it in
a collection titled Rare kruthis released by Andhra Music Academy.
We were taught it with a DDPPS GRPMGRS usage and VinaNa as DPS,
but some do not list this DPS prayogam(i think).
There will be a faint Begada mood here, so caution
is needed to not slip into a N here.

The charanam has a anecdote of Rama and Sita playing pallanguzi
:::::: Omanaguntalu.

i think,GNB sir also has a composition in this ragam
but i have not heard it and would like to know more.

I think you meant to say Jayachamaraja Odeyar. The song is bhUribhAgya lahari.

Spiritual Heritage of Thyagaraja publ. by Sri Rama Krishna Mutt has the lyrics and meaning for this song.
RKS has sung Odeyar's song in a Commercial which can't be U/L.
