pat deep is supposed to be almost same as gowri manohari....am i right?

But the arohana has no 'Ri' and 'Dha',as far as i know.

Scale is something like this :

Sa Ga Ma Pa ni Sa
Sa Ni Dha Pa ma ga Sa ri Sa

What an amazing piece !!!, in the raga patu deep !!, ( supposed to be a HM raga) so nicely handled by you and the soul-stirring kriti ninaduraL in praise/nay, seeking solace of the Lord would no doubt be instilled in to the minds of ardent rasikas for ever !! Please post all the kritis you have dwelt on Ayyappa in one thread.

That was a fine rendering, Ramaraj ji.
Patdeep triggers many memories for me .So many Marathi Natyageeths take inspiration from this Raga.

thank u coolkarni ji for ur compliments.I drew inspirations from Swamy HaridasGiri who used to sing an abang "MAHAMAYEE DOLA PAHI" IN THE ragam pattudeep . This would indeed transform the entire surroundings with it's sullen atmosphere to ultimate tranquility.

coolkarniji ,My innate flair to compose a kriti in this beautiful raaga was further kindled after my listening to a piece "Gayati Vanamali"tuned in this raga and so beautifully sung by SmtRGK in one of her concerts. Like wise I drew inspiration from all sources and imbibed into my composing capabilities.
