Mantra Balam was a song popularised BY TVS.I should have a non commercial track.Lets see.
TNS has sung Indu Enage Govinda in one of his Commercial releases ( a song also popularised in a Kannada Movie)
Kishori Amonkar - a big devotee of Raghavendra- also sings bhajans and slokas in her concerts. Here is one I had picked up on radio, long long ago.

This is a case similar to the concert thread where allam durgaprasad was being discussed and JB wanted a new thread to be opened .
Unless the proposed new thread does has a potential to run on its own, let us live with these minor diversions.
A composition of Vasudevacharya also comes to mind.Let me check it out.

Not necessary at this stage.Actually it is a welcome feature that one discussion leads to another.Only when the new subject has a potential to stand on its own , we can decide to start a new thread on that.please place this request in the correct folder

Mantra Balam - TVS-MC-Vellore
These two are from Vasudevachar's Compositions.
I have no idea of the singer- From a very old compilation
There may be more in this bunch, but since I searched for the words Raghavendra in the opening line , the selection gets limited. If some one has a list, I can look for more.

Interestingly, I saw in one of my mother's old notebooks where her teacher has written the mUrchane for nATa as : s r m p n s - s n p m g m r s ; I know it deviates from the norm - but there might have been one school with this kind of ArOhaNa -avarOhaNa?rbharath wrote:what is more interesting is the ArOhaNam/avarOhaNam that is listed: s r m p n s - s n d p m g m r s in the 36th mELa karta. is this suddha nATTai?
