Dorai mama is no more! One whom I was able to listen to a lot of times for a decade with his appearances with SrI TNS concert tours. Lot of memories!
Om Shanti.

Om Shanthi to this great vidwan Guruvayoor Dorai. What a range of musicians he has accompanied . His sishyas are Mannargudi Eswaran, SV Ramani (who plays mrudangam and ghatam) and a much younger PRaveen Sparsh .
My best recollection of Guruvayur Dorai is the brindavana saranga pallavi where Shri Dorai and A Kanyakumari has accompanied the maha vidwan KS Gopalakrishnan (flute) in us tour in 1993. Go to 17th minute where Shri Dorai is joining. Most of the concerts that i had heard him live was with TNS.
