Here is the word by word meaning enclosed for the lyrics of this Ganesha varnam in NattaiKurinji raagam with few corrections/deviations from what was posted above.

P: vArana MukhavA nAn unnai thuthikka vendum varam arulvAi Siddhi VinAyakanE

O vArana(Elephant) Mukhava(faced) God of Siddhi(knowledge/power,attainment) vinayaknE(Ganesha), nAn(I) (vendum)need to thuthikka(pray & praise/worship) unnai(you),
kindly arulvAi(grant/bless) a varam(boon).


A: endrum muthalil unnai pAdi nAle innalkalai neeki inbamum tharuvAyE

endrum(Always) muthalil(at the beginning/start) if one pAdi(sings in praise) about unnai(you) then you will neeki(remove) innalkalai(sufferings) and tharuvAye(give) (inbamum) happiness too.

C: UmaiyavaL maganE aruL purivAi unathadiyAr nalam peravE

O maganE(son of) UmaiyavaL(Goddess Uma/Parvathi) purivAi(Grant/give) your aruL(Blessings) for unathadiyAr(your devotees/followers) peravE(to get) nalam(Wellness/goodness).

1. Ammai Appane En Ulagam enaeduthOthiyavanE

Ammai(Mother) and Appane(Father) are En(my) Ulagam(World) , enaeduthOthiyavanE(Having stood as an example thus you preached )

(Lord Ganesha Circumambulated/went around his parents to show that in effect he had gone around the world itself in a contest with his brother as to who completes going around the world first to win the contest and also in that process he showed/preached to the world by standing as an example that ones' parents are of great importance to a child similar to whole world esp more so in the case of Lord Ganesha as his parents are none other than Goddess Parvati & God Shiva
who are the divine couples venerated as Mother & Father for the whole universe. )

2.mAlmaruganum valliyum ondRagi maNam puNara oru thuNai ninravanE

mAlmaruganum(Lord Muruga who was the nephew of mAl(Lord vishnu) & Lord Ganesha's brother) and Valli(a hunter princess) ondRagi(got united) maNam puNara (in wedlock/marriage) with the thuNai(assistance/help) of You,Lord Ganesha.


3.thanjam ena unathadi malarinaithanai sonthamudan bhakthar padai saranadaya
karam ainthum varam tharave mukham ainthum oli padara thiru naTanam gaNapatiyE

Taken ena(as) thanjam(refuge/asylum) at unathadi(your feet) which is malarinaithanai(lotus flower like) sonthamudan(with a feeling of ownership/belonging/related) bhakthar(devotees) padai(army) had saranadaya(surrendered) to you .
With your karam(hands) ainthum(five) of them tharave(granting) varam(boon) and your mukham(face) ainthum(five) of them oli padara(shining asif lit with light speading all over) you stood as thiru(respected/venerated) naTana(dancing) God ganapathy!


4. vA vA akara muthal ezhuthAga nee vA Anandha nadaiyudanE nee vA
iru vinaigal theera Esan maganE parivodu nee vA
ezhil vadivamAga ezhai enakkaga oyyAramAga OmkAramAga vA
unathu pugazh Urengum unathaDimai nAn pAda uvagaiyudan nAn athuvum

nee(You) please vA vA(come come) like the akara muthal ezhuthAga(Like the alphabet A which comes at the beginning to be follwed by rest all)
By nadaiyudane(by walking) with Anandha(joy/merry) you please come(nee vA)

For iru vinaigal(Twin deeds of good & bad Karma) to get theera(get over/exhausted) Esan magane(Son of Lord Shiva/Esan) parivodu(please/kindly) you please come (nee vA)

With ezhil(Beauty) vadivamaga(personified/taken shape) you please come for this ezhai(poor person) with oyyAramAga(grace,dignity/) and OmkAramAga(as the sacred pranava symbol "Om" sound/aphabet).

For Being unathaDimai(your subservient devotee) nAn pAda(i sing) with uvagaiyudan(with happiness/delight) too unathu pugazh(your praise) Urengum(all over the place).
