Re: Request for meaning for Uruhada Manam of Oottukkadu Venkata Kavi
Not sure if the OP wanted a word by word translation for say dance performance in mind etc or just a gist/purport to get what's the message composer wants to convey, anyway below is what i know IMHO (corrections welcome):
Purport/Gist:
The composer here is driving the importance of Krishna/Hari bakthi and he wonders how the human mind/heart is not getting attracted/realizing the importance of devotion to Sri Krishna whilst it is going after all unwanted/temporal material desires.
P: What kind of a mind it is that cannot get engrossed/melt upon listening to divine flute music of Sri Krishna and thereby in devotion to the Lord who by his love/mercy had captured all our hearts & removed all our unwanted desires? Is it the vice of carrying the worldly gossips that's preventing the mind?
AP: (Some words i see possibly spelt wrongly or i couldn't decipher precisely)
Here composer wonders when the Flora & Fauna have single action to perform in their lifetimes humans have thousand chores/jobs to do. Mandara flowers bloom when the flowering season comes, Termites/white ants have a single job in their times etc but humans get themselves occupied with thousand stuff in their lifetimes.
MK: Human mind goes after various material pursuits in its myriad of desires as long as its disillusioned brain continues to feel it can get permanent happiness in them. Here the composer wants to know the real loftier goal of Hari bhakthi that one needs to have & strive for it and to discard all other unwanted stuff.
C: Here the surrender/bowing down to the Lord is emphasized and composer wonders how can one not surrender to lord (in great respect to lord) but remain so ignorant of Him to get attracted to all other temporal entities.
