Sirs, I suppose, the project will be without any distracting visuals. Excellent.

In 1952, when I was a student in viii th standard, in a rural town, the AIR used to bring out a printed booklet , named 'VAnoli' once in two weeks or once in a month. it would list the actual programs with date, time, artistes name, information about the song and raagam too. It was very useful for us.
--
I would suggest that sangeethapriya should have a separate public website, along the same lines...Besides airing the vast collection of songs in the existing site, the new website should give program details. There should be a judicious mixture of renditions by the veterans of 1930-1970, next generation of 1970-2010 and the present generation after 2010.

How is it to be financed? what is the model?
What will be the reach of the radio station? can it be heard all over the country - state- and other countries, especially in western world and south-eastern nations?

I am a critical teacher of Vocal & violin initiating the kids since last more than 20 years in singing even Swarakalpana in all the six popular talas within only one year even before learning the first Kriti and also in playing the same on Violin too within only two years in my ‘time-bound & result-oriented system of learning music’. While no Vocalist needs any finger techniques Violinist needs to know many things about the techniques of things done by both the hands. Most unfortunately, either the giant Violinists or even the enthusiasts have never thought of preserving the great instrumental playing techniques of our giants in Violin through their respective videos particularly videoed focusing upon their techniques in using both their hands or fingers but not on their faces. This may also kindly be thought of by these efficient organisers of this Sangeethapriya Radio and do something in this direction for the benefit of our own kids. msakella

Excellent idea, great execution. The simplicity of just going to that page and not having to do anything else at all is very good. And importantly, the track info is very helpful.

The idea is to select concerts and publish the schedule in advance in an automated way. The automation will consider a mix of vocal (male/female) , instrumental of past and present day artists.

As of now , it is manual selection by me

It can be listened by anyone who has an internet connection

Hi,
Thanks a lot for this service. Not sure if it is only me, last several days the only concerts are by Bombay sisters and Alleppey Venkatesan.
