DEAR A,
THANKS A MILLION. YOU HAVE BROUGHT TO LIFE ONE OF THE PUREST NADASWARAM VIDWANS IN THE CLASS OF THE ONE& ONLY TNR & MADE ME RELIVE THE DAYS WHEN SRUTI SUDDHAM& SWARASTHANA SUDDHAM WAS PARAMOUNT EVEN IN THE CASE OF NADASWARAM. STILL HIS PURITY & AVOIDANCE OF CHEAP GIMMICKS THAT MADE HIM SO MEMORABLE IS STILL RINGING IN MY EARS. ONCE AGAIN, THANKS. VKV :-BD :-@ :-@ :ymapplause: :ymapplause:

Hi Cacm

Nice to note that you enjoyed the two clips. I do remember seeing a post from you which mentioned a tanam rendition from VV, but also saying that you did not have a recording. I do have a short one i think, in Bhairavi- want me to check and post the same? :-?

The below link has a collection of Vedaranyam vedamurthi( Thank you kbgopalam of sangeethapriya)
http://www.mediafire.com/?kz70vvky0pvo9

I think VV and Karaikurihi have given a lot of tonal variations with more focus on melody. For me karaikkurichi is extraordinary. Some one told before (was that vinayo) that vedamuthy played in more lower shruthi and he was like MDR , i did not find that yet. Any recordings to hear Vedamurthy as MDR.

VKV Sir or any one else
I do know KPA died very young at the age of 43 or 44. How old was vedamoorthy? Is he junior to KPA, any idea of when Vedamoorthy expired and roughly when he was born.

I HAVE HEARD HIM IN PERSON MANY TIMES; TRUE PERFECTION WITHOUT SHOWMANSHIP WHICH LET YOU FLOAT WAY ABOVE THE EARTH! While I do not know how long he lived my current memory says he lived at least till 50 or so. KPA was a different kind of artist ABSOLUTELY CREATIVE EXCITING& BRILLIANT. JUST THINKING OF BOTH OF THEM MAKES ME REALISE HOW LUCKY I WAS TO HEAR THEM IN PERSON. VKV

Dear Advaitin,
THANKS A LOT for the prompt V.V. Bhairavi R.T.P. You have singlehandedly enabled me to listen to PURE MUSIC. Apart from MMI VV is the other artist who is able to bring out what I call the HAPPY SIDE of Bhairavi. REGS, VKV :ymapplause:

Soulful Bhairavi. I haven't heard Nagaswaram played with such sensitively.

I have never heard of this artist. I don't find anything Googling. Someone who know about this Nadaswara Vidvan should write about for posterity.

A new concert from this Vidwan has emerged on YT : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4VTO0wUeBpw

The entire YT channel is brilliant due to the audio quality. perhaps i'm not keeping up, but haven't found such archives in places like sangeethapriya.
