Re: need lyrics meaning and link for vaa vaa muruga in sindh
Narayan,
Here you go: I have made a couple of small changes to the sAhityam from what I remember from Sri DKJ's version of this...(e.g.: avanikku instead of avanukku)
pallavi
vA vA vA murugayyA (nI) vand-enakkaruL sheyya idu samayam ayyA
Please come (vA vA vA), my lord (ayyA) murugA (murugayyA)! This (idu) is the moment (samayam) for you (nI) to come (vandu) and shower your blessings (aruL Seyya) on me (enakku).
anupallavi
shrI vAsudEvan marugA (murugA) shanmukhA sEvaDi poTriDum sEi enakkaruL seyya (vA vA vA…)
Oh handsome one (murugA), the nephew (marugA) of vishNu (vAsudEvan) [1], Oh six-faced one (shaNmukhA), (this is the moment for you to come and shower your blessings on me), your child (SEi) who offers worship (pOTRiDum) at your beautiful feet (SEvaDi).
caraNam
pADinadu pOdum pAdam tandaruL ayyA pAvi en kaDai tEra pAdaiyum shollayyA
ADina ATTangaL avanikku virundayyA (nI) avamAnam unakkayyA aruL mozhi pEshayyA
amaidiyai aLittiDa aruginil vArayyA sumaigaLai irakkiyE sukitanai kUTTayyA
imai pozhudEnum enmEl irakkamum kATTayyA ini Edu tuNai ayyA shankara subrahmanyA
My lord (ayyA), I think what I have sung (pADinadu) is enough (pOdum); please offer (tandaruL) me the refuge of your feet (pAdam). In addition, please instruct (SollayyA) this sinner (pAvi) on the path (pAdaiyum) that should be followed so that my (en) end (kaDai) is successful (tERa) [2]. My lord (ayyA) all the games (ATTam) you (nI) have played (ADina) may be considered as gifts/feasts (virundu) for this world (avanikku), but unless you speak (pESayyA) words (mozhi) of wisdom and grace (aruL) to me, only disrespect/dishonor (avamAnam) will come your (unakku) way. Please come (vArayyA) close (aruginil) to me, so that you can grant (aLittiDa) me peace (amaidiyai), and, unloading (iRakkiyE) my burdens (SumaigaLai), please make the consequences of my good deeds/virtue (sukitanai) flourish/grow (kUTTayyA). Please show (kATTayyA) your compassion (irakkam) to me (enmEl) for a nano-second (imai pozhudEnum) [3] at least, for, who else (Edu) will be my support (tuNai) anymore (ini), oh subrahmaNya, the son of Sankara? (So, this is the moment for you to come and shower your blessings on me…).

The plea is brought out nicely in the translation. Can aLittiDa also be...(heap) or grant/shower me with heaps of...peace (on me) ?

AFAIK, aLLi iDa would mean 'to heap'. I am not sure if 'aLittiDal' would mean the same.

aLLi iDa means to pick (aLLi) and put (iDa).
During auspicious occasions elders pick (aLLi) coloured rice and put/shower (iDu) on the heads of youngsters. This is referred to as aLLi-iDudal.
aLLi aNaittiDa means to pick up and hold close.
aLLiDa means to pick up.
aLittiDal means the act of giving. It is also used to mean showering or blessing.

Thank you rshankar and P. Bala for the clarifications. Tamil seems a tricky language unlike Hindi or Bengali.

DKJ sings the ending of the last line as “…saundarya subrahmanyA” - instead of “…shankara subrahmanyA”
