Someone said somewhere sometime, it is a SIN to sing wrong lyrics.
Are the lyrics from the mouth of the original composer? Even he/she could be wrong!

I checked in the book. There is a small typo in my posting. It should read vanamAlAdhara (one word instead of vana mAlAdhara).

Based on the lyrics given, ( purely and only - since I do not have a reference book at present ), I observe that the lyrics deserve some corrections as below :

" vaaraamiishvara " is not clear and requires check.

P : Oh , lotus petal-eyed consort of Lakshmii ! Naaraayana, I pray to you !! Protect me !!
AP : one wearing a garland of flowers, consort of Lakshmii ( protect me )
C : Bestower of good, merciful & valiant , one who has lotus like feet and shelter for the refugees, dweller of Rangapura, worshipped by Ramadasa ( P. Sivan ) , consort of Lakshmii ( protect me )

"varaahIshwara manjula talpa"

vara+ahi+iswara+manjula+talpa

vara=blessed
ahi=snake/serpent
ishwara=lord
manjula= handsome/beautiful
talpa-recline/sleep

as a compound word, it would mean -- ' the (handsome) one who reclines beautifully on the lord of the serpents"! the word 'manjula' being taken to qualify the noun "talpa". sleep causes a person to forget himself and it overpowers all the senses and the mind and by those standards sleep is not 'beautiful'
However, this person is in a state of sleep which is 'ajaadya nidra' - he is wide awake even in his sleep for his sleep is not caused but is Causal .
it can also be taken to describe the beautiful posture in which the Lord reclines.

I thought of varaahiishwara but did not venture to suggest as it could have been something else. Manjula does definitely qualify talpa which means reclining posture. It means he is casually or lightly reclining. The sleep is also termed as " yoganidra "

I think it cannot be varaahiishwara since vara does not rhyme with naaraa

vaaraam ishwara means the lord of waters ie the ocean. So the phrase means - one who has the ocean for a lovely bed
