A decent concert, the good points being step-by-step development of sangatis for many songs in Sri Maharajapuram Santhanam style, a very good violin accompaniment by Sri M.A. Sundareswaran and of course the excellent mridangam accompaniment by Sri Umayalpuram Sivaraman. Sri Srirangam Kannan on the morsing played like Sri Sivaraman's shadow assisting him well and enhancing the quality of the percussion support. The auditorium was close to empty thanks to the so many good concerts happening in the Mylapore area itself, one of them being Sri Sanjay Subramaniam's concert at Raga Sudha Hall nearby which my brother tells me was simply superb.

Ram it is strange ,without knowing each othe,r the last three days we have been going to the same concert, OST on Tuesday, Gayathri Venkatraghavan on Wednesday and Mah Srinivasan on Thursday. Am going to TMK today at MFAC.

Yup ... I was planning for Flute Ramani at MA too ...

May be we could all plan a rasikas.org members meet at one of the concerts this season. Will be kind of nice to associate faces with the login names we keep seeing and meet up with the members here.

Hope needhidevathai would make it to the meet too
