vAgIswari has the scale of:
1 kanakAngi janyA
Aaro: S R1 G1 M1 P D1 S
Avaro: S D1 M1 P G1 R1 S

bhAgEsri has the scale of:
22 karaharapriyA janyA
Aaro: S G2 M1 D2 N2 S
Avaro: S N2 D2 M1 P D2 G2 M1 R2 S

So they are both different.

Interestingly, I found another Ishwari rAgA with it's respective scale;
bhOgIswari
64 vAcaspati janyA
Aaro: S R2 G3 P D2 N2 D2 S
Avaro: S N2 D2 P M2 G3 R2 S

When I found this, I got excited at the thought of a garland for Eeshwari (i.e. an Ishwari Mala RTP LOL!). I was hoping for 9 such rAgAs. Pity that these are the only three in existence other than;

vAgadIswari
34th mela
Aaro: S R3 G3 M1 P D2 N2 S
Avaro: S N2 D2 P M1 G3 R3 S

...unless anyone has more to add to the list (with scales)?

Strictly speaking bAgEshrI does not belong in this group unless you call it bAgEshvari..
There is a rAgA Ishvari (mELA 6) SRGMPDN/SDPMGRS

True. In such an RTP, I would refer to it as "bhAgesvari". (This is the way the rAgA is listed in a the Amutham booklets)

I did not know about Ishvari. Thank you for the addition Lakshman.

In the context of 'Madura madura Meenakshi' in BAges'ri, the raga mudra is mentioned as 'BhAges'wari' in the passage 'Sundares'wara bhAgEs'wari'.

Yeah, it's mentioned that way in Kadaloor Subramaniam's composition "Ragathil Sirandha" too.

The rAgamAlika 'naLinakAntImatim' also has a section in bAgesrI, and the rAgamudre used is 'bAgEshwari'

So, I think it's safe to assume that it's actually meant to be bAgEswari...

I've just had an idea, but it's partially a repeat of the BBoard.
