I wondered if anyone could explain the purpose of the "biruDAvaLi" and the meaning of the word, "avadhAraya" in the text I've given below. Also, what are the laudations of "heccariga" (to be careful???) and "parAku" included in it?
dEvadEvottama dEvatA sArva bhauma
akhilANDa kOTi brahmANDa nAyaka
ShrI (amuka dEvatA) svAmin
[stotram/padyam/upacAram] avadhAraya
heccarigA - pArAku!
Need clarification of birudAvali

'birudu' means 'appellations', 'medals', 'honours' - Tamil 'virudu'; 'AvaLi' means 'rows', 'list', 'roll' - like 'dIpAvaLi' - 'a row of lamps'. Therefore, 'birudAvaLi' means 'the list or roll of appellations'. This is frequently used in Thyagaraja Kritis. Any kind of appellation used as an epithet is 'birudu' - like 'varada' 'brahmANDa nAyaka' etc. In Tamil this is called 'viruduppaTTiyal'.
'heccariga' is 'caution' 'eccarikkai' in Tamil - shouted by attendants of Kings proceeding before the kings informing about the arrival of the King - some thing like a siren used by pilot cars of VIPs now-a-days
