Since the last 2 years, SYAMA Singapore has successfully staged many performances such as 'Prahlad - the musical', 'BLISS' and 'Daasaru'.
Starting celebrations of its fifth anniversary, SYAMA presents 'Santh Mela' on Friday 3rd Juy, 8PM at the Drama centre Black box, Singapore.
Santh Mela is a musical based on marathi abhangs, set to the backdrop of the story of 2 warkaris setting off on padayathra to Pandharur temple for the Aashaadh Ekadesi day.
Ramkumar Vasudevan of SYAMA has conceptualised and directed this musical, apart for singing. Rajaraman Iyer, Srinath Iyer and Kanchana Rajesh are the other singers. Harmonium is played by Ravinraj Gunasekar and Pakhwaj by Delhi S Rajasubramaniam.
Dance is choreographed and performed by Theepan Ganesh and Jyothi Unni, along with Karthik and Saraswathy. This 100 minute musical will transform the audience to the festive mood at Pandharpur, and will enlighten them with the minute details of warkari movement.
