Can anybody post a song in this raag, explaining it? The name of the raag is spine chilling, unlike ananda bhairavi, amrithavarshini, , which are soothing to the ear !!! gobilalitha

This rendering has some similarity with the rag ' Rageshree " also of the same that. The 2 songs " ninaikada neramillai muruga, ninaindu ninaindu urugi paadinen' sung by Sri.Madurai Somu and 'ANkhinI mein basE jiy mein basE" a surdas bhajan sung by Sri. OS Arun have some silimarity to this song sung by Ashwini Bhide.gobilalitha wrote:Heard Ashwini Bhide 's khambavati just now. a little resemblance to jaijaiwanti. gobilalitha
Are they one and the same? Please post your views.

Coolkarniji, you are welcome. Esnips also has the clip. We are lucky that she is going to be singing in London again after quite a gap next month.
Hariharanji I don't know if you have seen the Parrikar article on this and the mention of Rageshree he makes with relation to Khambawati. http://www.sawf.org/bin/tips.dll/gettip ... pn=&arch=1
Gobilalithaji-Jha Saheb has also discussed the Khambawati in a clip on the same page in quite a bit of detail.
