An immensely talented lady - As Ustad Amir Khan would later point out, “Annapurna Devi is 80 percent of Ustad Allauddin Khan, Ali Akbar is 70 percent and Ravi Shankar is about 40 percent.

Let me see if there is a thread in her name. I have read a lot about her.

Condolences. What little I have heard of her music has been admirably contemplative and nuanced.

A gentle giant.
Parents who want their children, especially daughters to become musicians, please share with them stories of musicians like her who lived their lives solely for music and made it richer for all. Their music shouldn't merely stop with lessons and in vying for stage performances. Inspiration is a salient part of music, after all.
