I attended the Rajiv Malhotra lecture at SamskritaBharati. Nearly two hundred people assembled to hear the torchbearer of Sanatana Dharma Defender tradition in that sacred space propagating Sanskrit so wonderfully all over the world in a no-nonsense manner.

At the end, Rajiv-ji signed his book for everyone :The Battle for Sanskrit. He explained how Sanskrit and Bharatiya Samskriti cannot be separated in this effort to prevent hijacking and methodic destruction of our traditions by western Indologists. He cautioned that Narayana murthy has donated millions of dollars for western scholars to translate Sanskrit classics with the underlying agenda of extracting material from what they consider essentially a dead classical tradition.

It seems, until Rajiv met and briefed him, even Sringeri Swamiji had been made to almost sign up for handing over the propagation of Adi Shankara traditions to some dubious western scholars under some "benign" pretext.

The book gives exhaustive material and promises to be great reading!

Do attend the sessions in Bangalore and Chennai to get a first-hand sense of what's Rajiv's life work.

The table shown gives Rajiv"s response to the demonisation of Sanskrit by influential western scholars.
