An accomplished classical dancer and vocalist, Smt. Rajasree Warrier has tastefully choreographed and has rendered vocal to the beautiful Javali by Dr. M Balamuralikrishna in the Raga Chenchurutti.

Watched it. Yes it was very nice. If i am not wrong, it is telugu. I would be able to appreciate it better if someone would kindly post the lyrics nad the rough meaning, maybe in the sahitya section.

Krishnaa Ji, This song is the female version of the song Marulu Konnane by Dr. Balamuralikrishna. Click the link below to listen to The legend himself singing the song.

Regarding the meaning.. I am afraid I can only give a rough idea which is as follows. Some one who really knows the sahityam and meaning kindly correct if I am wrong.

The Nayika is inviting her beloved to enjoy each other's company. She goes on explaining her overwhelming love for him and her great desire to be with him. She is unable to fathom ever being seperate from him, even for a moment. She says, my handsome friend, I cannot have enough of our togetherness. Please come, darling, please come! ;-)

The Smt. Rajasree Warrier's link is awesome. So is BMK's singing in the other link. Thanks Devi. Your overall idea about the sahitya helped enjoy the dance that much better. It is minimalism at its best. There is no percussion, just voice, veena and her.

@ Vasanthakokilam: Thank you! I felt Rajasree was amazing the way she rendered this sweet song! Like you said minimalism at its best! She has learned Dr. Balamuralikrishna's compositions from Prince Rama Varma.

P: marulu mincErA sakhA ninnu viDanADalErA sakhA

My love is overflowing, O beloved, how can I leave you?

A: virisina sumamA kurisina vennela marala vaccedanani tarali pObOkurA sakhA

O blooming flower, O showering moonlight, do not say "I will be back" and leave, my beloved!

C: kannula karavu tIrenu kaninanta nI rUpu minnula viharincenu madiyAnandamu sakhA

Merely catching sight of your form has relieved my famished eyes. My heart is soaring through the skies with
joy, beloved!

Some versions have Paramasundhara as the anupallavi. Which is the correct one ? And can I also get the word to word meaning for this javali? I’m working on the piece.

Also, can you please announce where you found a different version of lyrics?
