Mighty proud of Ranjani. Missed seeing her, hearing her :( Looked for her at her guru's super concert at MFA (on the tambura too), and now see this. Ranjani's poise and refinement and her thirst for learning from an eminent guru when she moved to Andhra Pradesh some years ago was realized when Ramagaru agreed to teach Ranjani. The best to her in the new year. I had to hurry away after the concert,. Otherwise, I would have asked RamAgAu about her....

Ranjani Sivakumar @Ahiri is her handle . A good writeup on the art and science of tambura. This writer Mihir Balantrapu writes brilliantly . The closing remark is brilliant ". The simple process of mindfully tuning a tambura, striving for sruthi shuddham, the sublime resonance of sound, allows the musician and listener to connect with something deep and introspective within themselves."

Certainly missing live carnatic music . From The Hindu Friday Review dated June 25th,2021.
