A humble request to Venkat and other ardent rasikas of TRS.
TRS is also known for his magnanimity & inherent urge to bring to limelight , creations of living composers. On 31.12.1997 he gave an exclusive concert (at the Music academy) comprising of contemporary composers .It was well received by rasikas and musicians. One of my creations in the Raaga SARASAANGI - "Sadaa shiva Hrudaya Nivaasini" was rendered as main item.If any one has a recording of the same and get the same posted into this forum .he also included in the concert, compositions of (1)Nadopasana Srinivasan,(2) Dr.V.V.Srivatsa,(3) Kalyani Varadarajan,(4) Nashville Mahadevan and others.
I , for one , will be beholden to you , for I could not record the same even though I was present in the audience

The files you are looking for are probably past the 45 day time limit and have been deleted.

I second the thought of Vidya and also we have our SangeethaPriya where if u load these concerts we don't have to ask the same request.. Its just a collective thought for the rasikas...

Here we go.
Vidyaraja
In the past I have often stopped halfway in TRS uploads for want of inspiration.Like the unattended Cigar that needs constant relighting , it will help me a lot if you and others keep up the banter , here.
I will try to mix up the old as well as fresh uploads , to the best of my ability.

It was just two weeks ago that I had an opportunity to Visit The master to Invite him for the Lecture.A memorable afternoon, indeed.I will write about it ,one of these days.

welcome back vintage coolkarni! That lighting of the cigar analogy is a nice alternative to 'stoking the smouldering cinders' :) waiting to hear more about the recent encounter with TRS! Both you and Ramraj should persuade TRS to take an active interest in the Forum.

I am thinking of uploading these links to boomp3 com - You can listen it any time online. For those who have their hard disks filling, this is a good alternative :) That way, there is less demand for re-uploads!

I will publish these links in here.

Listen TRS Online here. Thanks to earlier uploads on Rasikas.org :

(You can not download from here, but on the positive side, these links will NOT EXPIRE. You can bookmark the links, and listen at your will

That is a fine idea indeed-the boomp3 one.
I will wait for you and suji to exhaust your COOL folder and then put the remaining ones I have.
For Members who may not be aware of this.
You can still play these tracks from ramakriya and record on your computers using software like total recorder.
I agree rapidshare has its problems but I use its premium version to keep the tracks alive as long as possible.

I'd much prefer the rapidshare option because it allows us to dowload music to Ipods and the like. I too bought a premium subscription. it would be great if the boomp3 allowed both real time play and download options!

I heard thru grapevine , that this great vidwan TRS did not accept music academy's promotion to prime evening slot and continued to perform only in the afternoon slot as afternoon slot was not ticketed and he wanted more rasikas to hear his concert. Is that correct?

it is indeed correct,he was a regular performer in the A.N slot even in his prime days when he was at delhi. He used to say his music is for ezhaikal.

I first met Sri TRS at my house at kovvur , Andhra when he came to meet H H BHAKTA GNANANANDA TIRTHA ( SRI OGIRALA VEERA RAGHAVA SARMA GARU) in the year 1973. He came for a cocert to Kovvur ON that day. Those are auspicious Navaratry days. He came in evening before going to concert. The Saint Composer presented his book DEVIGANASUDHA. After seeing the book immediately he rendered the song SUNDARI SADA in the raga Suddha Dhanyasi beautifully. During the concert also he has rendered the song very beautifully.

During my stay at Kokata once he came there for a concert at Rasikaramjani sabha. Then durng the meeting before the concert whether he can render the song Sundari for me. Then he immediately rendered the song very beautifully. Some times he uses to send news paper clipings of his concerts after rendering the song to the Saint Composer.

Recently I have met him at his residence for inviting him to the birth centinary celibration of H H BHAKTA GNANANANDA TIRTHA on 11-7-2009. He could not attend the function but he trained one student chi.Dikshita for rendering the song Sundari during the function. She rendered the song beautifully with ragam and swaram which was admired by the audiences on that day.

TRS sir is propagating this song in India and abroad since the year 1972.
