Hi i am new to the forum, so i am not sure where to post this. I'd appreciate if someone can provide the lyrics and meaning of the above song. I heard it sung by Maharajapuram Santhanam and am mesmerized by it.

thanks

Lji,
A couple more corrections in the caraNa.
Vidya - here is the meaning of this composition:

sadA nin pAdamE. rAgA: SaNmukhapriyA. cApu tALA.

P: sadA nin pAdamE gati SaNmukhanE (guruguhanE)[1] (sharavaNabhava [2] guruguhanE)

Oh Six faced Lord (shaD+mukh(g)an = shaNmukh(g)an)! Your (nin) feet (pAdamE) have been my only refuge (gati) forever/always (sadA).

A: AdhAramE enru vEru tuNiayum uNDO ayyanE meyyanE murugayyanE muttukumarayyanE

Is there (uNDO) any other (vEru) companion (tuNaiyum) fit enough to accompany me across this journey of life, other than you my Lord (ayyanE), the very truthful one (meyyanE), who are the essence/basis (AdhAramE enru) of everything.
murugayyanE – handsome (murugan) Lord
mutt(ddu)kumarayyanE – the precious/darling (muttu/muddu) son (kumaran) of Siva and pArvati.

C: un pugazh ennALum annavar pADiDa nI aruL sheidiDa manamillaiyA murugA
tandaikk upadEshan sheida tanayanE inda aDimaikku un nenjil kanivillaiyA
OrAru mukh(g)anE en kurai un azhagiya IrAru shevigaLil vizhavillaiyA
maharAjan pADiDum vaLLi maNALanE vaDivElanE SaNmukhapriyanE[3]

Oh murugA, do you not find it in yourself/do you (nI) not have the heart (manamillaiyA) to shower your grace/bless (aruL SeidiDa) on me (annavar – your devotee) as I sing (pADiDa) your (un) praises/fame (pugazh) every day (ennALum)? Oh son (tanayanE) who instructed (upadESam Seida) his father (tandai), isn't there (illaiyO) any compassion (kanivu) for your servant/slave (aDimaikku) in your (un) heart (nenjil). Oh Lord of 6 faces (oru – one, Aru – 6, mukhanE – faced one)! Are my (en) complaints (kurai) not falling (vizhavillaiyA) on your ears? – you have 12 (Iru – two times, Aru – 6 = 12) beautiful (azhagiya) ears (SevigaL), but you still appear to be deaf to my complaints. Oh husband (maNALanE) of vaLLI, wielder of the mighty spear (vElanE), Oh beloved (priyan) six-faced one (shaNmukhA)! You are the one I, maharAjapuram santAnam (maharAjan is his mudra) sing in praise of!

[1] guru refers to the fact that kArtikEya is the one who 'taught' his father the meaning of the praNava mantra. guhA refers to the fact that kArtikEya enters the dark cave of our consciousness and illuminates it.
[2] SaravaNabhava refers to the fact that kArtikEya came into existence (bhava) in a forest (vana) overgrown with Sara grass. (the same Sara that rAmA uses to kill kAkAsura, and forms the basis of the first Sara in tyAgarAjA's Sara Sara samaraika SUrA).
[3] rAga mudra.

ravi,
If you do translations inline with a P,AP and charanam as you have done for this krithi, it is double treat. Please continue in the same inline style.

1. en nAvAl (means with my tongue) instead of annavar
2. tanaya instead of tanayanE / tanayai
3. aruLillayA instead kanavillayA
