According to my teacher's notes it is
S R M P N S
S N D P M G, R S

But karnatik .com gives it different.
Is mine right?

Hi, I'm not sure if that's correct, but if it came from your teacher, then it must be I guess,

some website gave me only the aarohana as: s r m g m p d n S. (vakram)

I wish someone would confirm & clarify what both arohana and avarohana are.

The problem is that this rAgA has too many varieties like kApi. Here they are:

nAgagAndhAri-22-N S R G M P D N/N D P M G R S N
nAgagAndhAri-20-S R G M P DD N/D P M G R S N
nAgagAndhAri-20-S R G M P D N/D P M G S
nAgagAndhAri-22-S R G M P D N/D P M G R S
nAgagAndhAri-20-S R M G M P D N S/S N D P M G R S
nAgagAndhAri-22-S R G M P D N/N D P M G R S
nAgagAndhAri-20-S R G M P D N/N D P M G R S N
nAgagAndhAri-23-S R M P D N S/S N D P M G R S
nAgagAndhAri-23-S R G R M P D N S/S N D P M G R G S

Priya,
Since the heavy weights have not weighed in yet, here is my attempt. I am sure corrections will be provided where appropriate.

P: nAgagAndhArI rAganutE = one who is praised (nutE) by the rAga nAgagAndhArI
nagajAnanditE = nagaja + AnanditE = daughter of the mountains (pArvati, himagiri tanaya) + AnanditE = one who delights (Siva) -
mAmava = Bless me with your favors (?)

Oh daughter of the mighty mountain king, the delighter of Siva, please bless me with your favors as I sing your praises in the rAga nAgagAndhAri.

A: nAgarAja = Siva (king of the snakes)
vinutE = praised by
surahitE = (one who works for) the good (hita) of the gods (sura)
vAgIshAdi = vAk + ISa = Lord of the goddes of speech (brahma) and other (Adi) gods
guruguha = the composer
vanditE = (one who is) prayed to/worshipped by
bhAgavatAdi = the bhAgavatas (learned men)
nuta = praised by
paradEvatE = the supreme goddess.
parama tatvArttha bOdhitE = one who imparts knowledge/instructs (bOdhitE) about the supreme truth
shivE = female form of Siva

Oh! dEvi, you have been praised by SivA himself, while brahma and the other gods as well as the composer worship you. You are the mighty SivE, the one that learned men praise, the imparter of knowledge about the supreme truth!

C: parama shAnta svarUpAkArE = (you are the) manifestation (svarUpa AkArE) of extreme calm/peace (parama Santa)
pAda paHNkajE = with lotus-like feet
padma karE = with lotuses in your hands/hands like lotuses
niratishaya sukhakarE = unsurpassed (niratiSaya) provider/creator of happiness (sukhakarE)
surucirE = Oh! beautiful one
sasharacApa pAshAHNkusha dharE = (one who) weilds (dharE) a bow (cApa) with (sa) arrows (Sara), a noose (pASa), and a hook (aNkuSa) as weapons

With lotus like hands (to protect and bless) and feet (to shelter), you are the unsurpassed provider or creator of happiness for your devotees. You are the manifest form of unsurpassed calm and peace, despite weilding a bow with arrows, the noose and a hook.

surucirE = Oh! beautiful one

I think this may also be interpreted as tasteful, one having good taste etc

I have one question about nagajAnanditE - I thought this meant nagajAyAh Anandidte - (one who is delighted by nagajA) ; This interpretation does not fit the meaning, as the song itself is about pArvati.

What is wrong with this samAsa pada splitting?
